JOHN PATCHETT
Kingussie

I have lived in Kingussie this time since 1991. Previously I was here from 1973 to 1975 and from 1983 to 1985, whilst serving in the Army, which I left in 1989 for teaching, from which I am now retired.

My main interests are centred around mountaineering, wildlife and travel in Asia, along with photography. My wife's family live near Darjeeling in North East India.

I have not got round to restarting my artwork in water colour as I have been very busy with photography, encouraged by my wife Durga and rescue dog Brogue. He has recently appeared twice on the BBC News weekly series "Your Pictures of Scotland."
