ALAN HUNT
I have lived and worked in Kingussie for thirty three years. After leaving school I spent a year at Wallasey Art School in the Wirral before being conscripted into National Service. I moved to Scotland in 1973, Teaching in Edinburgh at first before moving to Kingussie in 1987 and worked for myself as a Mountain Guide. About fifteen years ago my interest in drawing and painting was rekindled when I attended an Aviemore evening class, then five years ago I joined a degree course at UHI, Inverness College, studying Contemporary Art Practice. I had the good fortune to join SBSA four years ago, exhibiting in members shows, last year I had my own show at the Iona Gallery in Kingussie. I work with Acrylics on canvas, Conte Pencil and Watercolours on paper and I am currently enjoying drawing and painting whatever catches my eye and reflects my interest in the outdoors.
